Are there any additional charges?

  • The package includes airport transportation (you let us know your arrival and departure times), accommodation, two meals and two bottles of water per day, panchakarma, excursions, shows, wifi, yoga classes, teachings, kirtans, relaxation and all workshops offered outside the program.
  • You must plan as additional costs: (100 $ Cad = 5000 rupees approximately)
  • Extra water bottles: 25 rupees. A water bottle is made available to participants to fill their water bottle, which is more ecological than using plastic bottles.
  • A tip of 1250 rupees for the staff which will be given to them at the end of the stay.
  • Donations to temples, not obligatory but recommended: around 10 rupees. In some places, if you want to take pictures, you may be asked for 100 rupees.
  • Any outing to the village or town is at your expense.
  • Two massages are included in the panchakarma. Any additional massage is at your expense. You can receive them every day except on excursion days. To see the prices of the Ayurveda clinic
  • All fruits and snacks outside meals are at your own expense: open coconut water on site: 50 rupees (30 rupees on the street), fruits: around 50 rupees. 25 rupees for a chai.
  • If you are ill during an excursion, you must pay for the taxi to return to the hotel at your own expense (from 50 to 100$)
  • Laundry (between 25 and 50 rupees per piece of laundry)

 

Can we trust food?

We take care to avoid any contamination of food by respecting high hygiene standards. The cook will prepare excellent Ayurvedic dishes from South India, balanced, of high quality and easy to digest. Bottled water provided by the hotel is safe to drink. Also during outings, we will make sure to offer meals in safe places. (No one has been sick during our retreats since 2018). Anything you consume outside of the recommended locations is at your own risk. Avoid snacks and drinks on the street. Let us know if you have any allergies.

Is panchakarma compulsory?

No, panchakarma is not compulsory but it does not give rise to a discount on the price of the stay.

Can I pay my additional expenses in dollars or euros?

No, you have to pay everything in rupees. A money changer will come to the hotel so you can change money at an attractive rate. Bring enough cash in Canadian, US or Euro dollars to cover your expenses.

Is it easy to withdraw money from ATMs?

You can withdraw money from ATMs, but there is no guarantee that they will work. Some cards are not accepted and you never know in advance which ones or why. It may depend on the machines, you often have to do it several times. Bring several maps if possible. The safest thing is to bring enough cash. A money changer will come to the hotel at the start of your stay to change your money at an attractive rate. Avoid changing your money at the airport.

Can I participate if I am a beginner?

Yes, you can participate, the courses are adapted to the level of the participants. There is no competition or performance concerns.

Can I participate if I am in poor physical condition?

Yes you will need to notify us in advance of your condition. Your participation will depend on the approval of the retreat doctor.

Are there many insects?

No, almost none. Very few mosquitoes, very few flies.

Is the hotel clean?

The hotel is immaculately clean. Cleaning is done every two days in the rooms. Sheets are changed weekly.

Travel insurance policy

Before your departure, you must provide us with your insurance policy number with a telephone number to call and the contact details of a person to contact.

Can we buy our plane ticket ourselves?

Yes. We pick you up at Mangalore airport by notifying us. If you find low plane ticket prices, we can pick you up in Goa or Bangalore for a fee to be defined according to the number of people.

I prefer to travel accompanied is it possible?

Yes, this is also possible by booking by notifying us that you would like to travel with a participant. However, this is not guaranteed.

Should I get vaccinated?

It is up to your decision. Some people get vaccinated and some don’t. It is recommended for India to be vaccinated against: tetanus, hepatitis A/B. The risk of malaria is almost zero in the region.
An RT-PCR test is required to enter India.
